Research interests

My research looks at our perception and understanding of the natural environment, and in particular the role of eye movements.  Rather than passively processing our visual environment, people move their eyes almost all of the time.  How does the brain know where to look?  This decision is being made constantly throughout your day, and it can have major implications (what happens if you fail to spot a car when crossing the road?).  Read more....
