Background

At UC Santa Cruz, I majored in Cognitive Science with an emphasis on human-computer interaction. I was an undergraduate research assistant in the Memory Lab and the High Level Perception Lab, where I studied how time perception is distorted in virtual reality. At the BAR Lab, I’m extending that work with a new focus on how VR’s effect on time estimation might depend on the size of the virtual environment (we may underestimate time in large environments, and overestimate time in small ones).

Research Interests

Virtual reality, time estimation, awe
