Background:

I grew up in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Before going to university and discovering my passion for research, I completed a diploma in General Business, spent time traveling and working. In 2009, I decided to re-attempt higher education at the University of Ottawa. After one year, I transferred to the University of Waterloo, where I majored in Psychology.

During my time at the University of Waterloo, I enjoyed learning about the breadth of psychology by working in the Vision & Attention lab of Dr. Dan Smilek, the Memory Lab of Dr. Colin MacLeod, and the Organizational Justice Research Lab of Dr. Ramona Bobocel. These experiences, paired with inspirational guidance from supervisors and graduate students led me to pursue graduate studies at UBC.
